Soundproof Sash Windows in Bath

Respect the rhythm of a Bath frontage

A sash window contributes more than an opening to the outside. Its proportions, glazing bars and relationship with neighbouring windows help define the whole building. Those details deserve attention before a replacement is specified.

We discuss the features you value, study the existing arrangement and consider a timber design that responds to the property. The same care applies whether you are renovating one room or planning a larger project.

Make your rooms feel more restful

A beautiful street can still bring passing vehicles, visitors and evening activity close to your windows. If these sounds interrupt your home, we begin by finding out which rooms are affected and what you hear from them.

Acoustic assessment helps us look beyond general glazing labels and work towards a solution for the actual disturbance, considering the glass, seals and frame as a complete system.

Traditional detail, considered comfort

New windows should work well in daily life as well as look right from the pavement. We consider operation, draughts and warmth alongside acoustic performance, explaining the choices that shape the finished design.

Much of Bath has heritage protections. Check the requirements for your property with the relevant authority before agreeing changes. A carefully developed proposal is the starting point for that conversation; consent is never something to assume.

Start with what you want to change

Tell Hugo Carter about your Bath home, the existing windows and the sounds you would like to reduce. We will help you explore the possibilities and understand how an assessment can inform a bespoke specification for a quieter, more comfortable space.
