Home Silent Home

For Homeowners

Creating the home you’ve always dreamed of having can be a uniquely satisfying experience. Yet even the most beautiful home can soon lose its appeal if it lets in unwanted noise from the world outside. And just as excessive noise can destroy your home life, so a return to tranquility can transform it.

We are here to help make your home a silent one… and your day-to-day experience of living there everything you want it to be. After all, we have a passion for transforming, not just living environments, but also lives.

“Early on we realised that if we wanted to truly transform peoples’ lives through their living environments, we needed to develop more deeply our fascination with, and knowledge of, the ‘science of silence’ – and then apply that expertise to our products and our process.”

Jacob Gwalbert Figura, CEO

Rethink What’s Possible

Imagine this. That the moment that you close your front door behind you, the outside world stays outside. Whether you’re having to put up with the incessant rumble of passing traffic or overhead planes, imagine having windows and doors that shut that noise out.

And do so far more dramatically and emphatically than you dreamed possible.

If you thought double or triple glazing was the height of sound proofing your home, think again. They cannot reduce noise by 65dB. We can.

Of all the investments that you can make in your home, this may be the one that pays off the most handsomely.

You may have many reasons to love the property you call ‘home’ – but how can you and your family fully enjoy it, if your home life is blighted by noise.

Silent homes need Silent Windows.

We’re here to create the quietest spaces in the very noisiest places.

Creating the perfect match: aesthetically and acoustically

In our initial visit to your home, our surveying team will measure each room with the very latest acoustic analysing equipment, NTI Audio XL 2. By measuring the type of noise, its loudness and also the frequency curve, we enable our manufacturing team to choose the exact type and thickness of glazing units to dampen the specific noise frequency. We offer different products for different noise profiles. In this way, every window we create is completely bespoke. Aesthetically and acoustically.

Life’s New Dimension

Your bed may be adorned with the most luxuriant sheets, and your bedroom fitted with the most beautiful furnishings. Yet none of this counts for anything if you’re unable to sleep.

And if it’s silence you’re seeking, we have the solution.

Across London, and elsewhere in the country, we’ve successfully turned bedrooms into sanctuaries. And we can do the same for you.

Even if you currently live on the flightpath, or are experiencing another kind of persistent noise intrusion, we can give you back your nights.

So that the planes above you at 2,000 feet may as well be 2,000 miles away.

Imagine knowing that – from the moment your head hits the pillow – you’re more likely to be woken by a cat, a clock or your partner.

And that you will never again be woken by things outside that go ‘bump’ – or ‘vroom’ – in the night.

Now even the lightest sleepers can enjoy the deepest slumbers.

In these various ways, our bespoke design process can open up new possibilities for you and your home.

What reducing the decibels can mean to your health

If you’re one of the 1.6 million Londoners who have to live with noise pollution of over 55dB, then you are – according to the World Health Organisation – likely to suffer health problems. And if you’re subjected to 45 decibels of noise, you will probably struggle to sleep – which can then have all kinds of consequences for both your working life and your family life. By contrast, it is hard to overestimate the value of a good night’s sleep… and of starting every new day feeling fully re-energised and replenished.

A Return to Tranquility

It may be that there’s nothing ‘within’ the walls of your home that you need or want to change… and that you love your home exactly as it is. After all, that’s why you bought it in the first place. It may well be that the main issue lies outside those same walls.

And when, as a homeowner, you realise the noise you face is too great to bear, and you think it’s too great to silence, that can have all kinds of repercussions.

It might mean considering the unthinkable. Uprooting your family, as you move to a quieter location, and away from a home you all love. Or it might mean ‘no sale’. As you learn that noisy neighbours are the single greatest ‘deal breaker’ when it comes to selling a property.

Happily, these are exactly the kinds of situations where we’ve given clients the very breakthrough they were seeking.

In effect, we’ve enabled countless homeowners to return to tranquility in their own homes… And to turn the same place into a very different space.

How we soundproof the space around your windows

When our installation team come to your home to fit your bespoke windows, they employ a unique process, specifically designed to optimise the level of noise reduction by ensuring there is a ‘tight fit’ with no gaps. Micro rubber spacers are incorporated into the fitting space, dampening the vibration of the sound wave and preventing it from penetrating through the frames.

Life’s New Dimension

Once you realise that you can achieve a new level of tranquility in your home, new possibilities start to emerge. Yes, we are best known for our Silent Windows, but we can also soundproof your home with our Silent Doors.

These range from French doors to bi-fold doors. There are few more dramatic ways to transform the look of your home than by replacing a wall of brick with a wall of glass.

Perhaps you’ve resisted it – because you didn’t know it was viable with noise reduction glass. Now it is.

Or maybe you live in a conservation area or Grade II listed building, and are wanting to achieve noise reduction, but are hamstrung by planning restrictions. Again, we have a solution.

Our wide range of products and vast experience in the industry makes us expert consultants.

And if the best solution for you is something more straightforward than an acoustic window, or even something we are not able to offer, we promise to advise you accordingly and to point you in the right direction.

In these various ways, our bespoke design process can open up new possibilities for you and your home.

Acoustic glass and the wisdom of thickness

Every window or door we design and fit is completely bespoke. Not only measured to the millimetre to fit your home space, but also precisely constructed to be the right thickness to block the specific ‘noise waves’ penetrating your home. And whatever the period of your property, you can choose from a wide range of styles – from heritage to contemporary – so that whatever we create is absolutely aligned with your property’s historical values.

Making an Informed Decision About Your Home

As you read this brochure, you may or may not have already had an Initial Home Visit, where we completed a noise survey of each relevant room. In case you haven’t, we explain it here.

Your Initial Home Visit

By agreeing to an Initial Visit, there is no obligation for you to commit to our service.

Visited, not by a sales person, but by one of our acoustic specialists, they will use the latest acoustic analysing equipment to measure the noise levels in your different rooms, and will talk you through your best noise reduction options.

Your Noise Report

Based on the survey completed during the Initial Visit, our team will email you a full costing and issue you with a Noise Report which shows our analysis of the problem, the level of noise pollution and our suggested solution.

Whether or not you choose to proceed with us, this Noise Report will remain a valuable document for you.
